*The Bands*
Sierra Leone's Refugee All Stars have risen like a phoenix out of the ashes of war and enflamed the passions of fans across the globe with their uplifting songs of hope, faith and joy. The band is a potent example of the redeeming power of music and the ability of the human spirit to persevere through unimaginable hardship and emerge with optimism intact. From their humble beginnings in West African refugee camps, Sierra Leone's Refugee All Stars have performed on some of the worlds most prestigious stages including the Apollo Theatre, Central Park, and Bonnaroo. SLRAS have matured into one of Africas top touring and recording bands. They also now play an important diplomatic role as spokespersons and for the ever-increasing millions of refugees worldwide.

"A world-music stew of traditional West African melody, reggae and rhythmic folk"
-The New York Times

From the archaic streets of Jerusalem to the small towns of America and all along the way, music has been the thread and source of strength for Billy Wylder. The band features Avi Salloway from Bombino/Hey Mama/Avi & Celia joined by an inspired cast of top-notch musicians who have performed in over twenty-five countries. Over the last three years, Salloway has toured the globe, performing with Bombino, the Tuareg guitar virtuoso from Niger, Africa and is now bringing new and old songs to life with the Wylder family.

Billy Wylder, like their peers, the David Wax Museum and Vampire Weekend, bring sounds from around the globe to meld with their American roots, taking the listener on a journey from bayou to borough, desert to dreamland. The band has toured extensively, performing and collaborating with renowned artists including Jack Johnson, Bombino, The Low Anthem, and Pete Seeger and supporting the legendary Taj Mahal.

"A spiritual cousin to Paul Simons Graceland" –Seven Days

Woven gives new life to old soul. Inspired by Hindustani musical philosophy, Ethiopian jazz, and the lush psychedelic tunes of the 60's, Woven's dynamic, uplifting sound leaves listeners with a mysterious, yet familiar feeling. Like a basket composed of a simple interlocking pattern of unique individual strands or a blanket which warms you in the dark of night, Woven transcends the sum of its parts to nourish life.
