This has been an extraordinary year for us at the Wilburton Inn, Our mom, Georgette "Gorgeous" Wasserstein Levis, was the bon-vivant, charming innkeeper for 27 years. Mom came from a family of business tycoons and Pulitzer prize winning playwrights. She was so lighthearted and "funsy" as Wendy described her in The Sister's Rosensweig, that she made it all look easy. This year my siblings and I had a crash course in innkeeping as we try our very best to walk in our mom's black sequined Uggs. She was tremendously proud to be the custodian of the Wilburton Inn. We are happy to bring our vitality to the inn, for it is our way of honoring Mom and her love of our guests.
Thank you to our guests for making our continued stewardship of the inn possible. We are blessed by an incredible rate of return guests who come back multiple times a year for DECADES! New guests arrive as strangers and depart as dear friends. That is the magic of the Wilburton Inn.
Thank you to Linda, Ed and Marsha who make the Wilburton shine. Martha and John have worked at the inn for over 24 years! Letitia brings her Italian warmth to the front desk and talent to our theatrical events. Joe, Devon, Crystal, Glen keep our 30 acre, 112 year old estate in tip-top shape.
This is a Thanksgiving song that I wrote for children in my pre-innkeeping life as a Kiddie Rocker in New York City. Our heart overflows with gratitude to our beautiful mother who instilled us with joy, creativity and love. This music video captures our recent Murder Mystery, Halloween Costume Ball, Farm Night, and so many special moments throughout this year. We pour our hearts into making the inn zing, because the more fun the guests have, the more mom dances in heaven.
