On Thanksgiving and every day, we give thanks to our guests who join us on this magical hill. In this mile a minute world of technology, innkeeping is old fashioned. Instead of facebook, it's truly face to face. One of the pleasures of being an innkeeper, is getting to spend time with guests and getting to hear their stories of what brings them to Vermont.
We thank you for your loyalty and friendship through the years. Some guests have been coming to the Wilburton twice a year for over 27 years. Another couple discovered us 20 years ago because we were one of the first pet friendly inns. They have been coming eight times a year for two decades! Every weekend brings new guests too - romantic young couples, retired free spirits, multigenerational families. At the Wilburton, we don't just say our thanks, we sing it.
We are also incredibly grateful to our staff that makes it possible to run this estate. Martha has been our book keeper for over 20 years. John retired this year after 22 years. Linda our head housekeeper has been with us for 5 years. This was a year of grateful goodbyes to Letitia, Joe, Chef Lisa and Ed and heartful hellos to new faces including Alan, our hospitality manager who brings hotel experience spanning three decades at Marriot and Hilton. Ed ads brains, brawn, and remarkable trivia knowledge to the front desk team. August makes pumpkin pancakes that leave guests raving on trip advisor.
We wish you and your families a wonderful holiday weekend and are truly thankful for the oportunity to welcome you to the Wilburton Inn and the beautiful town of Manchester, Vermont.
